Unitron Moxi Now Tempus - Advanced Features
An excellent reciever in the canal (RIC) hearing aid rated IP 68 (waterproof dustproof rating). With such an advanced hearing aid it is imperitive to have it fitted by an experienced qualified audiologist. This feature rich hearing aid is worthy of consideration.
Here we list features and also give User Feedback Insights from a wearer of the hearing aid. This will give an idea of what you may experience when wearing the aid. The seemingly overlapping features combine seamlessly for an excellent hearing experience all day long.

SoundNav automatically identifies and classifies each of the following distinct environments for the Tempus Pro technology level.
U ser experience - you can notice the hearing aid subtly change modes. It will adjust to the environment you are in and adapt to a better listening mode.

Dynamic Spatial Awareness |
SpeechPro
A feature that provides optimal speech understanding and localization from all directions, even in the most challenging environments.
Speech Locator
Quickly determines the direction speech is coming from.
Speech Focus
Makes it easier to understand speech from any direction.
Dynamic Spatial Awareness
Restores the cues for localization in challenging environments.
U ser experience - if you are in a situation where you have a radio on close to you and someone 10 metres away talks to you - the hearing aids quickly adapt and allow you to focus better on that voice. It is like artificial intelligence giving you a conversation. An example may be a conversation in a restaurant with someone 15 metres away - initially you will be amazed you can actually conduct a conversation in situations you would not even try without these hearing aids.
Sound Conductor
Name | Feature |
---|---|
Sound Conductor | Speech enhancement |
Noise reduction | |
Adaptive directionality |
Speech Enhancement
Adaptive feature that identifies the presence of speech in the listening situation and increases gain in any of the channels where speech is the dominant signal. Speech enhancement provides greater enhancement to softer inputs while providing less enhancement as input levels rise, to prevent loudness tolerance issues.
Noise Reduction
Adaptive feature that improves listening comfort by decreasing gain / output of the hearing instrument in those channels where noise is the dominant signal.
Multiband adaptice technology
A microphone system that tracks and suppresses multiple moving noise sources, while focusing on sounds from the front.
U ser experience - picking up speech better and subtle increases in gain (volume) for the speech. If you compare this to older or less feature rich hearing aids, it improves the comfort level reducing interfering noises and enhances the speech. Noise is subtly reduced.
Spatial Awareness
Name | Feature |
---|---|
Spatial Awareness | Dynamic Spatial Awareness |
Pina Effect |
Dynamic Spatial Awareness
Restores the cues for localization in challenging environments.
Pina Effect
This feature considers the location of the hearing instrument microphone and adjusts the microphone response to recreate the natural ability of the external ear to collect sound.
U ser experience - more natural sound. Quickly knowing what sounds are directed at you rather than perhaps a conversation that isn't directed at you. You will hear conversations away from you but they will not overwhelm you with noise.
Name | Feature |
---|---|
Sound Stabilization | AntiShock 2 |
Wind control | |
Feedback manager | |
Natural Sound Balance |
AnitShock 2
Instantly suppresses sudden loud, irritating sounds without affecting speech and sounds you want to hear.
Feedback Manager
Offers adjustable strengths to suppress various degrees of feedback and provides more usable gain.
Natural Sound Balance
Adaptive feature that continuously monitors the relationship between the direct sound path (vent-transmitted sound) and the amplified path and automatically adjusts the hearing instrument output to ensure the sound mixture provides natural sound quality.
Wind Control
Automatically reduces wind noise to improve listening comfort.
U ser experience - some of us are very sensitive to loud noises. This seems to get worse with age. You may notice you become jumpy as children play and sudden noises irritate you. Older or less featured hearing aids are very poor at limiting these sounds. The Unitron Moxi Tempus Pro Hearing Aid instantly stops some sounds that would irritate us. Wind noise has always been a problem with hearing aids. This better technology reduces the interfering wind noise. So instead of stepping out on a windy day and being overwhelmed and unable to hear well, you will be aware of the wind but not have it stop you from hearing conversation. Older or less featured hearing aids would squeal if the aid was covered, even if you breifly put your hand over the aid. This meant many hearing situations were not possible - like wearing a helmet or a hat or any situation where your head/ears were covered. That is well and truly in the past - in fact it is very difficult to make the Unitron Moxi Tempus Pro Hearing Aid actually react to feedback. Situations like echoing stairwells rendered poor quality hearing aids useless, not with these aids. You can hear extraoridnarily well in various environments.

Patient Insights | Log It All |
Patient Ratings | |
Data Logging |
Log It All
Captures a client's listening across 7 different environments regardless of the technology level. Shows how well the hearing aid is meeting the client's individual lifestyle.
Patient Ratings
Ratings allows the client to rate their listening experience via an app and the results are viewable in Unitron TrueFit fitting software with the context of data logging and Log It All information.
Data Logging (Usage)
Formerly known as data logging, usage accurately records usage data on topics such as hours of use per day, time spent in each program and listening destination, as well as volume changes. At the follow-up appointment, the stored data is read into Unitron TrueFit fitting software and the results are displayed. The collected information can then be used to support fine tuning decisions and user counseling.
Overall satisfation
Overall satisfaction ratings provide a metric for evaluating how individual clients are doing overall with their hearing instrument during their journey from initial visit to first fit to subsequent visits.
U ser experience - when you vist your audiologist for a follow-up appointment, there is a huge amount of information to work with. Adjustments can be made based on the listening experiences. An experienced audiologist with knowledge of your hearing aid is a huge value add here.

An optional feature, which automatically switches the hearing instrument to a telephone program when a telephone receiver is held next to the hearing instrument.
Duolink
Applies adjustments to program and/or volume control made in one hearing aid to both hearing aids.
Binaural Phone
Available in some wireless products. Binaural Phone automatically streams audio from the phone ear to the non-phone ear, allowing for binaural hearing while on a landline or mobile phone.
U ser experience - the world of streaming and getting better value from your device. We see (clunky) products that people with normal hearing use to stream. Imagine the benefits of streaming directly from your iPad or chosen device virtually invisibly. Taking calls and hearing better than ever hands free through both ears. Automatic Adaption Manager
Allows for an automatic and smooth adjustment period for the client; providing the best possible first fit acceptance combined with maximum long-term benefit for speech understanding.
Tinnitus Masker
Noise generator intended to provide a sound enrichment source that stimulates the auditory system. Intended to be used as part of a comprehensive tinnitus therapy program.
IntelliVent
Optional feature that calculates vent design characteristics considering your client's unique ear canal dimensions and hearing loss. Unitron TrueFit fitting software works with IntelliVent to automatically optimize gain/frequency response for the acoustics of the vent.
Binaural MyMusic
Automatically switches both hearing aids to a dedicated program when music is detected so music sounds as it should.
Multiband adaptice technology
A microphone system that tracks and suppresses multiple moving noise sources, while focusing on sounds from the front.
Frequency compression
Shifts sounds away from areas where hearing is most damaged and compresses them by a specified ratio into a client's audible frequency range to provide improved awareness and speech intelligibility.
U ser experience - with very advanced tools come some amazing features. In some circumstances these features give you hassle free better than natural hearing advantages. In some circumstances you may need to adapt to the hearing aids. This can be a smoother process with these advanced features.
